This is my first opportunity to write in our newsletter as the Division President of Yaskawa Environmental Energy (EED) and Chairman of the Board of The Switch. Needless to say, I am pretty excited about this new and challenging role at the company.

The fight against the coronavirus is taking a lot of extra time from all of us. But we at The Switch are well positioned to get past these temporary difficulties. Our factories are keeping up 100% production capacity. And we continue delivering our products as promised.

Finland’s spring has warmed up to a hotter-than-usual summer up here in the North. Likewise, our fiscal year is proving to be warmer than anticipated. Thanks to several significant orders, we are heading toward a good year.

The Switch was established in 2006. So, this year, we’re celebrating 15 years of permanent performance with our customers, suppliers and other partners. 

I promised you last July in my first newsletter to keep our customers in the center of all our activities. I made this promise because I really believe that key to our success as a product supplier is to support the business of our existing and new customers in all possible ways.

I feel that I wrote my last newsletter intro just recently. Still, it seems to be already more than 3 months ago. I must say time is flying fast 😊! But then again while looking back, I can see that a lot has happened since July.

Summer has come to Finland, with some of the warmest and sunniest days we’ve had for a few years. So we’re preparing to enjoy the abundant light and renew our energy, spending time to reflect on upcoming developments and our journey ahead.
