Norwegian-owned Misje Eco Bulk wanted to replace its gensets with batters for its 5,000-dwt eco-friendly bulk carriers.
The joint project between Yaskawa Environmental Energy and Wärtsilä features Wärtsilä’s fully integrated hybrid solution. This enables vessels to enter and leave the harbor and perform cargo operations with zero emissions in normal operation for Power Take Out / Power Take In. Additionally, the fully electrical mode for Take Me Home is possible.
The new-generation The Switch DC-Hub for the hybrid vessel is optimized for DC distribution with multiple sources and consumers. It also helps Misje Eco Bulk comply with IMO targets in the future.
