Vanguard engineers at The Switch, a world-class Finnish company that specializes in machines that transform energy into electricity, have advanced power conversion by making the communication between a wind turbine or solar power plant and the transmission line to which it is connected more effective.
We are excited to be onboard and support a new player in the Tamil Nadu solar business with equipment for their first solar power plant, says Sundar.
In many ways, there isn’t much new in renewable energy. Renewable energy, of course, is new in the sense of what it means. The energy source renews itself and its availability is as such plentiful. Yet, both wind and hydro energy have been captured for hundreds of years, for example, in sailboats, windmills, hydro powered mills, saws and other equipment. Solar was harvested in greenhouses and for heating long before there were photovoltaic panels.
The Switch, a leading supplier of permanent magnet generators and full-power converter packages, introduced its new full-power converter series today at China Wind Power 2011. The converter is smaller in size, more rugged and fulfills the most stringent international grid codes. It is also ideal for offshore wind power installations.
With this new series, The Switch strengthens its position in the Chinese market, where quality is now valued over quantity, and fault ride-through capability has become the focus.
We are looking forward to meet you at Solar Power International 2013 to discuss how we can improve your levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and support your business. Please contact our Solar Business Development Manager Benny Nyberg at +1 262 352 2867 or via our contact form to schedule a meeting with one of our solar experts.
When: October 19 – 21, 2011
