During September 2022, we had the pleasure of welcoming six new members to our team of leading minds. Read their bios and professional journeys within below.
Structural Analysis Specialist Trainee
Seyedmajid (Majid) Mirzahosseini has joined our Engineering Analyses team as Structural Analysis Specialist Trainee on September 14, 2022. He will be working part-time alongside his studies for the rest of the calendar year. Starting in January 2023, he he will be doing his master’s thesis for us.
Majid will have a significant role in improving our internal structural analysis capabilities while we strive toward more optimized designs, more responsible use of materials and further enhanced competitiveness, performance and product reliability. Majid will be located in Lappeenranta.
Thermal Design Specialist
Jonna Tiainen will join our Engineering Analyses team as Thermal Design Specialist starting from 3.10.2022. Jonna’s main responsibilities will be the thermal design of electric machines, mainly using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and related-project coordination.
Jonna will have an important role in ensuring that our electric machine product range – permanent magnet and high-speed machines – will have optimal cooling performance and efficiency to enable our customers to use and produce electricity responsibly. We are happy to have Jonna as a talented and experienced professional to work with us and help us accelerate the switch toward a more sustainable future. Jonna will be located in Lappeenranta.
Test Engineer, HPC
Odd Andre S. Reinertsen joined our team in Grunnavågen, Stord as our new Test Engineer, HPC. Odd Andre has completed his apprenticeship on board the North Sea Giant and Atlantic Guardian, becoming a certified ship electrician. Since then, he has studied at the University of Stavanger for five years.
Before joining us, Odd Andre worked as an industrial electrician at Aibel. In his previous work, he was involved in the construction of the rectification plant at Haugsneset as part of the Johann Sverdrup power from shore project, kårstø VEM, and a project at Hæwne Brim at Haugesund Yard.
Marketing Specialist
Markus Odé started working from beginning of September as our Marketing Specialist. He will also work with Yaskawa Finland on similar digital marketing tasks and participate in future marketing-related projects within Yaskawa Europe GmbH. Markus has been with the company since 2018, working as a marketing trainee during his business studies.
As a marketing specialist, Markus will play a key part in our digital marketing activities, such as marketing automation, lead nurturing, customer satisfaction surveys, web development and paid search advertising among others.
Finance Assistant
Päivi Koukku started her first internship with us in autumn 2020 alongside her business studies. She worked with us for two summers in finance and admin tasks as part of the Lappeenranta internships. Päivi has taken care of all meeting arrangements and daily administrative tasks very independently and professionally, receiving praise from customers.
Päivi will now continue to work in our company as Finance Assistant. We are happy to continue having her assistance for meeting arrangements, office supply orders, day-to-day office matters and other matters related to accounts payable in Lappeenranta directly.
Export Logistics Administrator
Emilia Naukkarinen has been nominated Export Logistics Administrator, starting on September 1, 2022. Emilia is part of the Procurement organization and reports to our Purchasing Manager, Janne Romppanen.
Emilia is a familiar face at Yaskawa Environmental Energy / The Switch, as she previously worked in both the Purchasing and Finance teams. Emilia will be located in Helsinki. As an Export Logistics Administrator, Emilia will be working closely with our sales team and warehouses.
