Continuing a successful collaboration, The Switch has received an order for 86 new high-speed solid-rotor induction motors from a long-term customer. With this latest order, the total number of motors ordered by the customer has increased to nearly 350 units.
Deliveries for the new order will ramp up during the second half of 2026, reaching monthly volumes of up to 10 motors.
The motors are based on a customized design jointly developed with the customer for demanding high-speed applications. The compact semi-integrated construction enables direct mounting onto the application, reducing footprint and simplifying system integration.
Designed for harsh operating conditions, the motors feature a robust water-jacket cooling solution and high ingress protection. This combination helps maintain reliable operation in high-temperature environments while supporting long service life and stable performance.
The motors will be used in advanced air management systems that support efficient exhaust gas recirculation and reduced NOx emissions. By enabling advanced high-speed solutions, they contribute to the transition toward more sustainable operations across industrial and marine applications.
Solid-rotor induction motors are particularly well suited for selected high-speed applications where robustness, compactness and long-term reliability are critical. To date, The Switch has delivered more than 1,000 solid-rotor induction motors for a wide range of customers worldwide, with zero rotor field failures.
As a forerunner in decarbonization technologies, The Switch continues to support customers with innovative electrification solutions for demanding environments.
