To further develop high-power electrical drive trains, Yaskawa Environmental Energy / The Switch recently began a research project with Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT).
We have delivered thousands of high-speed motors in serial production to several world leaders for their specialized turbo pump and compressors applications. Now, the same technology is introducing motors paired with drives, offering unrivaled cost and size advantages in powers of 100 to 630 kW and speeds of 6,000 to 20,000 rpm.
Yaskawa Environmental Energy / The Switch has signed a contract with Caterpillar®(Cat) to deliver an innovative package of electric drive train technology for a series of bulk carriers.
Being in the driver’s seat of The Switch since its inception in 2006 has been the highlight of my career. As of June 30, with full confidence, I am handing the keys of The Switch over to the next generation.
In October, we successfully signed our first turbo motor order in China with Binzhou Dongrui Machinery and recently received confirmation on the first installment.
