We are putting the finishing touches to a unique facility in Lappeenranta, enabling the testing and production of a new breed of large multi-megawatt-class drives for customers in the wind, marine and turbo industries.
For us, the marine business is more conservative and complex than the wind industry where we started. Convincing the historically conventional stakeholders of the superiority of PM technology is challenging. Yet still, the progress made is great.
We had the honor of hosting very prestigious guests at out Lappeenranta factory. H.E. Ambassador Robert Frank Pence, the US Ambassador to Finland, visited the office and toured our factory as a part of Team Finland’s USA Road Show 2019.

Following the successful High Voltage Ride-Through (HVRT) testing in October 2017 of The Switch’s 1.5 MW full-power converter, The Switch’s 2.5 MW FPC has now also successfully passed the HVRT test.
